The 2020 US presidential election that took place in November 3, 2020. Although Trump claimed that he will and has won (and caused unrest in the state by inciting riots when losing), Biden won the election with electoral vote of 306 (Biden) to 236 (Trump) and historical record vote of more 81 million vote. The vote was the highest any president had gotten in the history of US election.
Joe Biden was inaugurated as the 46th president of the United States on January 20, 2021, hence the start of the four-year term of Joe Biden as president and Kamala Harris as vice president. Kamala Harris becoming the vice president of US is also in itself, in my opinion, even more of a historical moment than Biden winning the election, but I digress (Biden is the star of this article!). The inaugural ceremony took place on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. This was the 59th presidential inauguration in which Biden took the presidential oath of office.
With 2020 being the year of crisis for everybody in the world likewise US citizens, Biden assured the nation that he will help with the healing from the coronavirus pandemic as well as from nation’s rift caused by former President Donald Trump during his speech.
