Youri Tielemans’s second half wonder strike separates the two team as Leicester beat Chelsea 1-0 to finally lift their first ever FA Cup at Wembly. Having failed to win the FA cup in previously four attempts, in 1949, 1961, 1963 and 1969, it needed a powerful 25 yards strike from Tieleman’s to swing the game in the favor of Leicester.
The game was goalless in the first half even though there were many chances created from the both ends. Chelsea had their goal ruled out by VAR for offside, after the clearance ricochet into Ben Chilwill for Chelsea which would have brought the game back to level. Kasper Schmeichel put out a fabulous display in front of goal denying Mason Mount and Chilwell and keeping clean sheet on very important day at Wembly.
In search of an equaliser, Tuchel threw on Ben Chilwell, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Olivier Giroud, but time was too short for Chelsea players to get something out of the game.
With the win Brendon Rodgers celebrated his first trophy after arriving at the club with chairman Khun Top , which was encouraged and enjoyed by the fans at the stadium. Leicester is also fighting for top 4 finish which will bring European football next year.
