The most expensive stock as per LTP of 27 May 2021 is Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL). The non-life insurance company became the most expensive on the same day with the closing price of NPR 23,200. RBCL overtook Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) which is currently the second most expensive stock that closed the day at NPR 20,000.
It is observed that the most expensive stocks are among the manufacturing companies. 3 out of the 10 most expensive stocks listed in Nepse are manufacturing companies. The other sectors like Trading, Micro Finance, Non-Life Insurance take two spots each in the Top 10 list. Citizen Investment Trust is the only investment company in the Top 10.
The most expensive stock among the microfinance sector is Mahila Lagubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBSL). It has to be noted that it’s been only a couple of months that MLBSL was listed in Nepse after having an Initial Public Offering (IPO) at the price of NPR 100 earlier this year.
Another important observation could be also made about Trading stocks. There are only two trading stocks that are actively listed in Nepse now. Both of these stocks, Salt Trading Corporation and Bishal Bazar Company are in the Top 10 list.
