We are aware of the fact 70% of our planet is covered by the water bodies. Since the ocean is so large, there are plenty yet to be found and discovered by future oceanographers spread across the world. Although the oceans span more than 70% of the world, we only see the surficial 20%. We don’t know much of it, and hence the remaining 80 percent is left to explore. As gigantic the ocean ecology is there are many mysteries which have no definite scientific explanations.

  1. Milky Sea Phenomenon: Seafarers have been reporting for hundreds of years that they have found a weird “milky-like-water” thrown into the water as the eye can see, but scientists were not able to explain it, even they had serious doubts if it were true. It was initially reported in 1864 by Captain Raphael Semmes. He wrote about his quarters on CSS Alabama that “I was so shocked by the deep blue ocean’’. The milky sea is also referred to as mareel, caused by bioluminescent bacteria, of which trillions live from the surface up to the seafloor across the whole water column. It was only until 2006 the scientist was able to retrieve the satellite image of this phenomenon. Bioluminescent bacteria lure fish for food and survival. Yet scientists are still uncertain how or why bacteria can be detected from orbit in such vast numbers. In addition to the “dinoflagellate” organisms that generate transient bursts of light, the glow of continuous.
  2. Purple orb: Researchers at the Exploration Vessel Nautilus uncovered an odd purple blob in 2016 on the ocean floor off the coast in the province of California. It looks like an odd and pompous jellyfish. There is a continuous investigation as to what the orb is, but perhaps a new kind of velutini, a sort of snails.
  3. Baltic Sea anomaly: Ocean explorers uncovered an oval object on the ground of the Baltic Sea in 2011. A graphic artist from otherworldly discoveries developed the resulting “pictures.” They rounded the internet rapidly. Scientists believe that the abnormality is indeed a glacial or some other natural form, but the origins are undetermined until more investigation is complete. Who knows that? Or who knows that caused this? The obvious fact that it is one of the most unresolved riddles regarding the cosmos if there is a sentient alien living at all in the depths of the ocean.
  4. Giant Squid: It’s not only limited to movies turns out Giant Squid is a gigantic creature of the deep. He wasn’t even photographed live until 2004 and was only videotaped when he was caught on the surface several years later. The life of these deep-sea giants has been learned essentially nothing, not even how big it is, though some estimations forecast that it grows to 66 feet.
  5. Bloop Sound: None had ever before been heard of anything like the enigmatic South Pacific “bloop” sound. It was extraordinarily loud and low frequencies and had a distinctive pattern that led certain people to believe it was a creature just discovered lurking in the depths. After years of research, it was believed that these were sounds made from the breaking of the icebergs however many theorists believe that the theory is hard to have any viable explanation.
  6. Lost Islands: The story of the island Atlantis which surprisingly sank a few years ago is a mystery unsolved of an ocean. Bermeja islet was laid out from the sixteenth to 20th centuries as located off the north coast of the Yucatán peninsula, but it was not found in the wide range of mapping efforts. It was believed to get disappeared due to the geography of the ocean, to rising sea levels but the swap is too hard to process. A previously undiscovered submarine island, which included many buildings and even a pottery workshop that included 16 terracotta puddles and remains of a kiln embedded in the floor, was found in the Egean Sea near the small Greek island of Delos in 2014. Divers in Japan discovered what they thought was a former underground site in 1987 full of pillars, pyramids, locks, and even a stadium. Some believe this site contains remains of the lost continent and the Mu civilization.
  7. Kay II: It is easy to be reassured that the mysterious occurrences took place decades or even centuries ago, you’ve probably heard a number of tales of the lost ships or ghost boats. Not so with the Kaz II catamaran, found on 20 April 2007, 88 miles northeast of Australia, which had no trace of his expert three-man crew. The boat was not only still in fine maritime condition, but the engine was still in operation, men’s life jackets were stored securely, the laundry was arranged with their fishing lines and the laptop was installed and switched on.
  8. Underwater Geology: Things like “waterfalls” and the composition of salt all contribute to an overall geological body of water, many of which remain unknown. Every inch of the ocean would be impossible to explore in one lifetime as large and as spacious as it is. Differences in water temperatures create phenomena in which some areas of water move in strange ways, while there are and may emerge geological characteristics such as submarine volcanoes. Even today, all these things continue to be researched.
  9. The Abyss: Researchers are on the path to discover new marine life in an area of between 13,000 and 20,000 meters under the surface. Hundreds of new species, as well as little-known creatures such as the ‘faceless fish’ have been found in a recent expedition in the vicinity of Australia since 1873.  The spiny king crab, a monkey-brittle star, Blobfish and the deep-sea lizard fish are also rare examples collected by scientists. Who knows what else is there?
  10. Immortal Jellyfish: This sea creature, less than a rosy nail, can revert to a polyp stage if threatened with hunger or injury, to the nickname of “immortal jellyfish” because it outsmarts death. Although it wasn’t until the 1990s that this unbelievable phenomenon had been known about it for 100 years. Scientists still are unsure exactly how their cells can recover and regrow, but they could promise immortal jellyfish to tackle diseases such as human cancer.
