Britain has announced to conduct this year’s registration for British Gorkha and Singapore Police through online registration. Registration will begin from 28th of July to 16th of June.
Previously the legible age limit was 18 – 21 years which has been changed to 19- 21 for intake-2022. This amendment in the age limit has been introduced owing to the breakout of Covid-19 in the country.
Officials of the British camp on Pokhara informed about the changes in the criteria’s on Tuesday. Deputy Recruiting Officer Major Jackmel said, “Many of our criterias has been changed due to the covid outbreak”
Educational Qualifications for the registration has also been amended for this intake. Qualifications are same for both British Gurkha and Singapore Police which are as follows:
- Passed SLC in 2016 or before with third division
- SEE passed after 2016 with minimum “C” grade in at least five subjects, with compulsory “C” grades in English and Mathematics
Necessary information required for filling up the online form will be provided in the British Army’s official website.
Earlier, the registration and regional selection were conducted in East Dharan and West Pokhara.
For regional and final selection for British Gurkha, only 3 thousand contenders will be called and 2 thousand for Singapore Police.
In the coming year, the quotas for British Gurkha will be reduced to 230 people and 140 people for Singapore Police
