Covid 19 pandemic is creating uncontrollable condition in various developing and under developed countries. Among those Nepal is also one. In such circumstances, help from the developed countries is much needed. Nepal is receiving various aids in the form of medicines, medical supplies, vaccines, PPE from several countries such as China, America etc. Likewise, medical equipment and supplies donated by the Government of the France have arrived in the Kathmandu, Capital city of Nepal, on Wednesday.
Francois-Xavier Leger, French Ambassador to Nepal, handed over all the medical supplies which includes 4000 FFP2 masks, 20,225 Antigenic Test Kits, 12000 Protective Glasses and 14 Respirators including consumables to the Hridayesh Tripathi, Ministry of Health and Population at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Handover programme was concluded by the Minister Tripathi by thanking the French Government and the General Public of the France.
Support from the France in this current pandemic situation was much needed and is reflecting the longstanding friendship of the Nepal and France.
Government of Nepal has requested to the French government which was communicated at the bilateral levels as well as through the European Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism for supporting Nepal with the various medical equipment and supplies such as Vaccines, medicines, equipment in the face of devastating second wave of Corona Virus Pandemic.
