The Chinese smartphone giant Huawei has launched its own mobile operating system HarmomyOS. Chinese telecommunications had been put on the blacklist by the USA. Since then, Huawei mobile phones were not allowed to use Google mobile phone services and lost access to the android operating system.
The company has announced that 100 smartphones will be powered by the proprietary HarmonyOS. The company further mentions that the operating system will be available to tablets and smart screens in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The company lost access to android services and ecosystem after the US government, put it on an ‘entity list’. The US government believed Huawei is aiding Chinese government espionage. The company has always rejected the claim. After being added to the list, the Chinese company is restricted to do business with American companies.
Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer unit said that the HarmonyOS user experience has exceeded that of Android and has solved issues of lagging and slowing down of devices over time. He believes HarmonyOS will be the greatest operating system in the internet of things time now.
Huawei smartphone which was the largest smartphone maker, earlier fell out of the top 5 last year. The other Chinese smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo have sold more than Huawei. Huawei believes they will again come to the top after the development of their own Operating system.
