The best team and no.1 seed in the west put on a clinic show to outlast Memphis Grizzlies and closed out the series 4-1 with a comfortable victory with 126-110. The Utah star Donovan Mitchell scored 26 of his 30 points in the first half to race easy with a series ending victory. The Utah Jazz scored 47 points alone in the first quarter. They led by 15+ and as much as by 35 throughout the whole game. Mitchell was superb as he was knocking down all kinds of crazy shots to score 30 points and 11 assists in just 29 minutes. Mitchell helped several of his teammates to get rolling and get an easy bucket. Rudy Gobest, the defensive player of the year had 23 points and 15 rebounds with three blocks. Jordan Clarkson, sixth man of the year this season had 24 points and the sharp shooter Bogdanovic 17 points. They have a unique ball distribution, limited star players, genius coaches and systematic game plays. Mitchell was on fire in this series with 114 total points (28.5ppg). The game was already over by the 1st quarter. Their 47 points alone in the 1st quarter was just too much to handle for the Grizzlies. This Jazz team is just definitely hard to defend.
The Grizzlies team was just lucky to be even in the playoffs. They are the NBA’s youngest postseason team but they do have a bright future with their growing star JA Morant who had 27 points and 11 assists. This series will be a learning experience for the grizzlies team to grow in the future. Though they are a very very young team but talented as hell and put up a big fight throughout the series. Maybe this is not their year but at some point these young guns will slowly build up and come out firing lights out to shock the NBA team. Much respect and tons of credit to the Memphis Grizzlies team.
