Children are the future citizens of a country. They should be allowed to live and have the opportunity to develop themselves by learning to write, to read, receive health services and enjoy a secure life. These various fundamentals are the basic rights for all children.
Child rights can be categorized in four aspects;
1.Right to survival
2.Right to development
3. Right to protection
4. Right to participate etc.
Children are the pillars of the nation building. Children must be protected from a variety of discrimination. Discrimination can happen at home, schools or any place. It is our duty to ensure that all child have their basic rights met and are safe at their place they live. Children abuse is also growing rapidly and most of the cases go unreported. Various child safeguarding policies needs to be adopted to ensure children are safe and protected.
The ministry of women, children and social welfare and ministry of Education have made different efforts to conserve the child rights. Various policies have been laid out to ensure child rights and safety. There are also many organizations who have been supporting these initiative of the ministry of women, children and social welfare.
Child rights is everyone’s responsibility and we all need to work together in order to provide these fundamental rights to all children across the globe.
