The author and artist of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” Eric Carle has passed away at the age of 91. Apart from “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” Carle has written various other Children’s books that are loved by children all over the world. In this decades long career, Carle has written and illustrated more than 70 children books. His books are known to be creative, engaging, colorful and vibrant. Carle’s most popular works also include “The Grouchy Ladybug”, “The Mixed-Up Chameleon”, and “Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me” among others while his books have received many awards including the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award. “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” was published in 1969 and has sold over 55 million copies in the world and has been translated into more than 70 different languages.
