Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Education Minister of Nepal has provided Medical Education Commission with the direction to affiliate the Jhapa Based B & C hospital to run and operate the medical college. Medical Education Commission conducted a meeting on Friday in the Chairpersonship of the commission and in the presence of the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli where Education Minister Shrestha direct the commission to provided affiliation as soon as possible.

In the meeting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that Nepal will be developed as the medical education hub for the medical students all over the globe and also provide the direction to the commission to prepare the required plans and policies accordingly. PM Oli also said that the medical colleges who have completed all the regulatory processes necessary for affiliation should not be hold and should be obstructed to be provided with the affiliation.

Minister Krishna Gopal said that if all the regulatory process has been completed by the B & C hospital then the commission should start the process of affiliation as soon as possible and also direct the commission to forward the file to PM KP Sharma Oli regarding the decision of providing affiliation to Jhapa Based hospital.

However, the twenty civil society leaders who have protested against the Government decision to provide affiliation to B & C Hospital were arrested from Baluwatar on Friday.
