Benjamin Netanyahu, the longest reigning prime minister of Israel is poised to lose his seat in the new government which is underway. The 12 years long rule of Netanyahu is coming to an end with Right-wing nationalist Naftali Bennett expected to take over the post of Netanyahu.
This will also put an end to two years of political paralysis in the country when three elections resulted in stalemate.
Mr. Bennett will be holding the post of PM until September of 2023, after which the post will be handed over to Yair Lapid, leader of Yesh Atid, for the next two years.
Netanyahu would remain head of the right-wing Likud Party as the opposition government.
Netanyahu has accused the new government calling it fraud and dangerous all the while facing similar charges against him.
