Army Chief Purnachandra Thapa has said that the construction of the fast track will be completed in three years. He said that he was thinking of completing the construction work in 2081 BS.

He said that the construction work of the fast track would be completed without any problem if the required budget from various ministries was received on time. 

“We assume that Fast Track will be completed by 2081. When the budget is allocated, work can be done, “If the budget is received from different ministries, the work can be done,” he said. If there is another problem like Covid-19, it may be a little late. 

He informed us that the work to build the tunnel has now begun. He said other work would be completed by the time the tunnel closed. 

Similarly, Chief of Army Staff Thapa said that the army would not cross the border in peacetime. He made it clear that armed police would be deployed at the border during peacetime. 

“The country’s security forces face challenges in times of peace and conflict. The rebel group is expected to enter mainstream politics after reaching an agreement with the government, “he said. The army will not be deployed on the border in peacetime, the government has shifted the task to the armed police forces.

“We are working in the border area in coordination with all the departments. But the army is not deployed at the border. The army only stays at the border in the event of a conflict between the two countries,” he added.

He also informed that the Border Survey and Monitoring Directorate has been formally established.
