Nepal, as a whole, is in state of a quaranlockdown which supposedly prevents you from covidstrains as there will be less interactions among people. The first lockdown after the covid19 appeared around mid of 2020 for around 6 months or so where the whole word was in a plague. Family and friends dying caused a massive trauma among the people.
As time passed on, people adjusted to the rules and regulations for preventing the disease and it was as usual for us nepalese. But again after a year in the mid 2021, a new variant of covid appeared near India and it’s reach in Nepal has been devastating as the first.
This is the second lockdown in Nepal since 2020. Death rates were high at first of jestha and as time progressed, we experienced a lesser number of deaths and that ultimately led to the end of lockdown in a more suitable way for people with extreme caution applied.
The whole jestha will end with a lockdown. From ashar 1st or after the 1st week of ashar, the lockdown will likely be loose as death rates are low compared to earlier and people need to pay taxes as well apparently. So expect a usual daily life in a couple of days with odd even rules implemented among the vehicles.
