A wonderful header from striker Kieffer Moore made sure that Wales walked out of the game with one point after the majority of the game was dominated by Switzerland. Swiss had full control of the game and their domination on the pitch and was awarded a goal in the second half when Breel Embolo scored from a header after his solo effort was denied by the wales keeper, Danny Ward.
Switzerland was favorites to win the match, and started pretty well in the first half. Striker Haris Seferovic had plenty of good chances to take the game away from the Wales but failed to hit the target. But their dominance was soon rewarded with a goal early in the second half with Embolo scoring a wonderful heading goal from a corner kick. Wales got the grip on the game during the latter part of the match and created plenty of chances which resulted in the equalizer in the 74th minute when Moore scored a powerful header to level the scores.
Switzerland made substitutions to win the game and had scored a goal too, only for VAR to rule it out. With this, both Switzerland and Wales have one point in Group A with Italy leading the group with 3 points.
