As the monsoon has already begun across the country, due to floods and landslides till Thursday evening roads of thirty-one places in all over the country have been blocked. Out of 31 roads, one way running has been conducted in 15 sections of the roads. Roads of various highways across the country have been blocked due to the recent floods and landslides.
Continuous monsoon raining has been occurred since 14th of June. It has destroyed roads and bridges which has already been constructed and which are under construction across the country. Bhuwan Adhikari, Deputy Director General of Departments of Roads confirmed that the department is trying its best to open the blockade by utilising its equipment and its manpower. All the available resources are being used properly to run the landslides affected areas as soon as possible. As the rain is not expected to be stopped which is creating hindrance in the proper management of the affected areas- confirmed by the Deputy Director General.
