A pick-up driver truck has left six cyclists in a critical condition as the truck drove in to the cyclists who had taken part in a charity bike ride in Arizona.
The accident took place in Show Low, 180 miles north-east of Phoenix.
The 35 year old white male driver had fled the scene but was pursued by the Police officers.
The driver was shot by the police over a mile away, leaving him in a critical but stable condition.
The six cyclists were rushed to the hospital after the crash, out of which four of them were in a critical condition and the other two were in critical but stable condition.
Named as Bike the Bluff, the 58 mile cycle ride through eastern Arizona is organized to raise money for Mountain Christian School, a religious primary school in Show Low.
